Foghat, the kings of 70’s boogie-rock will hit Peoria’s riverfront as part of the Methodist Red White and BOOM! Celebration. Their first album in 1972, Foghat, spawned the hit cover of Willie Dixon’s “I Just Want To Make Love To You”. Several albums and constant touring brought the band to 1975 and the release of “Fool For The City” featuring the title track and top 20 smash “Slow Ride”. Their follow-up “Foghat Live” sold over 2 million copies.
Featuring founding members Buck Dharma and Eric Bloom, Blue Oyster Cult will showcase their version of the 70’s and early 80’s on Peoria’s riverfront July 3rd. “Burnin’ For You”, “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper” and “Godzilla”, will set the stage for a night of classic rock hits from a band that has sold more than 24 million records worldwide.
